Green Gables is the home of early Melbourne leaders William T. and Nora Wells.
Green Gables and its beautiful grounds at U.S. 1 just South of Hibiscus are the northern gateway to Melbourne. We hope to make the estate a center for community involvement, a place just north of downtown Melbourne where people of all ages can gather to enjoy concerts, weddings and other events.
Over the last few years we have worked hard to make the house and grounds visible to the public. We have an opportunity to acquire the valuable property if the community is willing to commit about 1/4 of its appraised value..
