My mission is to Create Confident Kids to Eliminate Bullying. I welcome kids aboard the RelationShip™ – the most important ship they will ever captain. The relationship with themselves, their friends, parents, siblings, teachers, and administrators. I want kids to feel great about themselves, and teachers and administrators to spend more time doing what they love – teaching and leading.I have used my experience as a former 100 ton boat captain, teacher, school based social worker and now as a success coach, to design a program with the goal of decreasing childhood suicide and absenteeism from school caused by fear of confronting the bully by 50% in the next 5 years. I realized that using an approach used by such leaders as Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Gandhi, and Mother Teresa to turn the tide of human history, I could design a Create Confident Kids to Eliminate Bullying Program that would work! I use a simple, straight-forward and actionable formula that focuses on what we all want – confident kids VS what we don’t want – more bullying. By shifting our focus and resources to what we want, we too can change the course of history and decrease incidents of bullying, childhood suicide and absenteeism rather than continuing to focus on Stop Bullying, Anti-Bullying that has increased these incidents. As children discover their power within, they can feel confident and secure about who they are. No matter who says what to them at school or online, they will remember the truth of who they are and not believe the bully. It is in believing the bully that we are harmed. We can create school cultures that is “All for one and one for all,” like the Three Musketeers advocated. By shifting the focus from competition to cooperation in children’s relationship with themselves, their friends, teachers, administrators, we can decrease the number of student suicides and absenteeism and making school a safer, more secure place where children can focus on learning and growing rather than avoiding the bully.
